TIP #6- Get more SUNLIGHT!
Our sleep cycle is impacted by how much sun we get!
Sunlight triggers your body to wake up and be alert, and produce the hormones you need to regulate your sleep cycle.
Office workers who have direct access to windows at work vs those who do not, sleep an average of 46 minutes more!
Tips-
Our bodies are most responsive to sunlight between 6am to 830am, any time is going to be beneficial but these hours will give you the most benefit. Even if it’s cloudy, still get outside for at least 30 minutes a day.
If you are stuck inside with no windows, take breaks, walk outside, sit in the sun, eat lunch outside, etc.
There are “light boxes” available for people who have seasonal depression and need that light therapy. Let us know if you use one of these and give us all some suggestions!
