We wanted to share something one of our coaches recently posted in a group, because it’s THAT good!
“I have been seeing a lot of posts popping up in various groups regarding peoples frustration about losing or gaining weight. I just wanted to take a moment to share a little of my story with you. I DON’T post my weight a lot becuase so many people put so much stock in the numbers, so here goes:
3 years ago when I started my fitness journey I weighed more than I did when I was 9 months preggo with my youngest daughter. I’m a short 4’11” and I weighed in at 134. My goal was to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight of 108. Now this was not postpartum weight y’all…..my daughter was 10 yrs old lol!! I began Insanity and lost 7# and 15.75″….this sold me on a fit lifestyle.
Over the next 3 yrs I completed many programs. I’ve stuck with my daily shakes and I eat healthy/clean about 80% of the time. I was NEVER an athletic person…I was once chosen last to be on a frisbee throwing team, FRISBEE!!!! I am now a certified PiYo and Insanity instructor. I work out 5-8 times a week. I lift weights, I run, I can do assisted pull-ups, and I can do just as many “Boy” push-ups as my hubby. My cholesterol has dropped 30pts. I work a full time job and still have enough energy to do weekend activities and teach 2 live classes per week. I feel good in a dress.
I have minimal muscle definition and I’ll never have abs (thank you 11″ torso!) but I feel amazing. I sleep good most nights, I wake up ready to go most mornings, I’m pretty sure I could fight an attacker, and I’m positive I could cripple an attacker trying to hurt my family.
I’m stronger than ever…..y’all are all saying “Geez get to the point, Dani!”
Here’s my point….with all the improvements in my life I now weight 132.5#! Yup that’s it! I’ve lost a cumulative amount of 1.5# in 3 yrs! And I feel awesome!! My testimony should not be discouraging to ANYONE…..DO NOT let the number on the scale or your fluctuation of weight define you….YOU DEFINE YOU!!”
