So Christmas parties and family gatherings are right around the corner, and what does that mean? Well, for most it means FOOD! And lots of it!

Now, does that mean you have to eat it all? Nope! But it’s there and it looks sooooo good right? Right!

My personal plan is to allow myself to enjoy some Christmas goodies this year. We have family recipes that mom and us make every year, recipes passed down from my grandmothers. And yes they are delicious!

Now that doesn’t mean I’m going to overindulge or make myself sick on the sweets, but I will have one or two. It’s Christmas and it only comes around once a year.

No that’s not an excuse to eat the whole buffet table. But you CAN enjoy yourself without stuffing your cheeks like a squirrel hoarding nuts!

I truly believe life should be enjoyed and you shouldn’t deprive yourself. But again, don’t eat 5 pounds of fudge or fruitcake.

And when Christmas is over, don’t take any goodies home with you. Leave them at the parties. If you’ve made them, bag them up and send a few pieces home with your guests. The less temptation the better!
