Helpful Tips to avoid the Holiday Bloat:
- Eat a small meal or snack before you go to Thanksgiving dinner. You won’t be as hungry when you get there, and you’ll be less likely to gorge yourself on all the dinner fixings.
- Drink Shakeology! Be sure to have your Shakeology at some point during the day, before your lunch or dinner would be ideal. It helps with cravings and will fill you up so you don’t fill up on extra servings of bad food.
- Drink lots of water during the day, this will make you feel full and also help flush some of those bad choices out your system.
- Just say no! It’s OK to tell your family and friends that you’re eating healthier now and won’t be stuffing yourself this year or going for those seconds or thirds!
- Have dessert. Yes I said it, have a piece of pumpkin or pecan pie, but make it a small piece and be satisfied with it. Sure you may want more, but remember your goals and what you want more- a bigger piece of pie or a smaller waistline?
- And don’t forget your workout! Just because it’s a holiday doesn’t mean you get the day off, especially if you plan to make Thanksgiving Day your cheat day. Workout before you go to lunch or dinner- this will kickstart your metabolism into a fat-burning machine for the day!
