Do you ever wonder how some people just seem “happy” all the time? They seem to always have a smile on their face, a little energy in their walk, a little life in their talk…
A very basic human element in life is the desire to be happy. It’s in everything that we do. Think about it.
Whether we want to find our purpose in life, our spouse, a great job or career, a good home… whatever we do, in some way, we are pursuing something that we believe will make us happy if not “not unhappy.” Even if we are working in something that is primarily focused on others, we do it because it makes us happy. We may believe it the “right thing to do.” So, doing the right thing makes us feel good or feel happy.
If you want to become more happy in life, to experience happiness… begin by being THANKFUL. How?
Each day remember specifically the things you are thankful for. Don’t just think BIG, like, “I’m thankful for an amazing career,” or “I’m thankful for winning the lottery.” Thank on the things you have DAILY that if you didn’t have, life would be more difficult.
For example.
I can see. I can hear. I can smell. I can touch. I can walk. I can get up every day. I have a home. I have a job. I have a way to get to the job. I have a wife loves me. I have a family who loves me. I have friends who love me. And most of all my Jesus loves me!
What would life be without the things we so often tend to take for granted. Begin every morning thinking about the “little things” and thank God for it all!
